LIVING CHEMISTRY

In Biotechnology it is possible to get living cells to make products for you. You will be working in groups in laboratories researching ways to make people better.

For instance developing new medicines or looking for the causes of illnesses or vaccines against malaria or you will be discovering the secrets of human DNA and helping the police by tracing offenders using forensic research.

Biotechnology is also used in the commercial sector on a large scale, for the production of beer or the development of a new type of cheese for instance.
